“If we wish to create a lasting peace we must begin with the children”- Mahatma Gandhi.

We are on a mission to teach children, who will bring peace to their lives, their families, their schools, their workplaces, their communities, their countries, and make the world a more peaceful place.

In the course - Learn How to Be a Piece of Peace! students (ages 12-17) will learn how to become agents of peace, solve conflicts, and identify the connection between peace and security.

This four-week course of one hour each week, is designed to be engaging, through conversation, feedback, surveys, and role play.

During each class, a topic will be covered. The first 10 minutes will be used to engage students to share their peace-building experiences so far. The next 30 minutes will be spent on explaining the day's topic for discussion. The remaining 20 minutes will be open for questions, answers, and comments.

Topics that will be covered include:

1. Understanding the Concept of Peace

2. The Role of an Individual in Promoting Peace

3. Are Conflicts Avoidable?

4. The Connection Between Peace and Security

5. How Conflicts can be Prevented, Managed and Resolved Non-violently

When children learn non-violent communication and resolution skills, they become advocates of maintaining peace in the society. A peaceful society makes human, national, and international development possible.
